Massey Knakal settles $19.6M sale of Brooklyn Heights loft building

Massey Knakal Realty Services represented Broadway Management and The Praedium Group on the sale of a seven-story loft building at 20 Henry Street in the Brooklyn Heights section of Brooklyn, N.Y., to Urban Realty Partners.

The vacant loft building sits in a highly coveted block in the Brooklyn Heights Historic Landmark District. Landmark approval has been obtained to add a 14,500 square foot residential building on an adjacent vacant lot.

Brian Leary, managing director/partner in the Massey Knakal's Brooklyn office handled the sale, along with Chairman Robert Knakal.

Leary was named Massey Knakal's tenth partner in 2004. Prior to joining the company he was vice president of real estate and office services for Bear Stearns and was part of a team that developed the 1.2 million square foot space at 383 Madison Ave. that became the company's world headquarters.
