1/23/2008NAI sells Pennsylvania laboratory for $28M

Hackensack, N.J.-based Roebling Investments has purchased the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection laboratory in Harrisburg for $28.5 million from The Harris Penn Trust, an affiliate of The Vartan Group. Justin Shoemaker of NAI's Harrisburg office represented the seller while Hal Messer of the firm's Hackensack office represented Roebling. The 109,645 square foot building was developed by the Vartan Group and is located at 2575 Interstate Dr. It was the first laboratory to achieve the Gold LEED rating for its environmentally sustainable design. Shoemaker is a realtor for NAI and has been with the company since 1997. He joined the firm as a marketing and research coordinator and now specializes in retail and office properties. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and is a graduate of Shippensburg University. Address: 2575 Interstate Drive, Harrisburg, Pa.
