2/20/2008Cassidy & Pinkard finalizes $24M sale of Maryland office building

Carr Properties has purchased the Woodmont Place office building in Rockville, Md., for $24.07 million from
Brookfield Real Estate Opportunity Fund.
Paul Collins, Bill Collins, Drew Flood, James Cassidy and Jud Ryan of
Cassidy & Pinkard Colliers brokered the sale on behalf of Brookfield.
The building, which sold for $230 per square foot, contains 104,782 square feet. Built in 1986, it is located at 1401 Rockville Pike. Earlier this year, the Cassidy & Pinkard team
negotiated the sale of the Venture Center office portfolio on the campus of North Carolina State University. The group represented
General Electric Pension Trust in the deal.
Rockville is located just 20 miles northwest of Washington, D.C., and has a population of 59,114, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.
An affiliate of Colliers International, Cassidy Pinkard offers commercial real estate services primarily in the Washington D.C. area.
