America's Capital Partners, has purchased downtown Atlanta's Cornerstone Building for $14 million from 215 Peachtree Associates, LLC.
Gary Lee, Andrew Murphy and Mark Joines of locally-based
Carter Real Estate represented the seller in the transaction.
Built in 1929, the Cornerstone Building is located at 215 Peachtree St. and contains 77,691 square feet. Its largest tenant is the Hard Rock Cafe, which occupies more than 26,500 square feet. Peachtree Associates purchased the building in 2002 for $5.7 million.
Lee is the senior VP of Carter Real Estate's Investment Sales Advisory Group. He advises property owners on the recapitalization of their investments through sale or refinance. He earned his bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Northeastern University.
Murphy is the VP of the Investment Sales Group and has sold more than three million square feet of office, medical, retail and industrial properties throughout the Southeast. He is a former member of CB Richard Ellis's Atlanta Private Client Group and is a graduate of James Madison University.
Joines is a senior associate with Carter Real Estate and specializes in strategy advisement to property owners. He is a former employee of TriMont Real Estate Advisors and is a graduate of the University of Georgia.
