6/25/2008Jewel-Osco acquires 5.5 acres for development in Chicago
by Michael Wayne | | Marshfield Plaza | Jewel-Osco has purchased a 5.5-acre development tract within the Marshfield Plaza retail center in south Chicago, Ill., from Primestor Development of Chicago. Paul Bryant, Mary Beth Menelli and Richard Spinell of Oakbrook Terrace-based Mid-America Asset Management represented Primestor while Jewel-Osco was self-represented. The property is located within Marshfield Plaza at W. 119th Street and Marshfield Ave. Jewel-Osco plans to use the land to construct a 62,000 square foot urban retail center. Marshfield Plaza is a to-be-built retail center that will ultimately encompass 454,000 square feet. It will open in two phases in October 2008 and Spring/Summer 2009. Address: W. 119th St. and S.
